C’est moi, Carissa

After teaching high school science for nearly 20 years, I was ready for something different. So I moved myself and my German shepherd Hadyn from the U.S. to France, to fulfill a long-standing dream of writing, traveling, and living abroad. I currently work as a freelance wine writer and educator, run my own business Toujours Vin Curieux, and also write about wine on my Substack.

I started Keen on France to share about my adventures abroad, while expanding my writing business. Wine is fun and all, but it can also feel a little limiting, and I have more to share with the world besides wine! Through Keen on France, I can talk about everything and anything: food, wine, geology, nature, learning French, and of course, telling stories about my dog and our life together in a new country. I’ve been told repeatedly that I am a natural storyteller with a story for everything, so we can put that to the test.

I am excited for what’s ahead, and I hope you stick around for the stories yet to come!
