Hey there! I’m Carissa Kuehn, and I’m so glad you are here. I’m a former high school science educator who, after 19 years of teaching, decided to move abroad to France and pursue a different dream—one in which I was the boss and 100% in charge of my life, my time, and my schedule. Together with my German shepherd dog, Hadyn, I left the U.S. and moved to the Alsace region of France in the fall of 2025. Between learning French, adjusting to life in a new country, and building my freelance wine writing business Toujours Vin Curieux, I also share about my life abroad—ma vie à l’étranger—here at (Always) Keen on France.
